Assuming you have the van or tow, THE EASIEST WAY TO FIND FREE SCRAP METAL is by going on the free section on Craigslist and finding local people who are posting "curb alert" and putting out old appliances, electronics, miscallaneous scrap metal at the curb of their homes for anyone to come and take away.
